Russ wears New Look Men - Stone Bomber Jacket | Grey Jumper | Khaki Chinos | Grey Sneakers | Socks by Form + Thread

Something a little different today, I've stepped behind the camera to shoot some images for a collaboration with New Look Men, and their AW15 collection. To celebrate the launch of New Look's new stand-alone menswear stores, based outside of London, I enlisted the help from my good friend + singer / songwriter, Russ Erwin, to model + find a couple of interesting locations along the Flyde coastline, in Lancashire. We chose the location to compliment the muted colours and soft textures of their AW Watergate trend.
It's a bold move for New Look to open standalone menswear stores, but it's a sign that Britain is taking a keen interest in style + fashion outside of the capital city; with existing stores in Wigan + Portsmouth, and the newly opened Merry Hill + Manchester locations. It's a really exciting time for British menswear, both highstreet and independent labels.

We marched up and down Blackpool's sea front until we found the right spot: using the structural backdrop to shoot some standout pieces from the AW15 collection. I based the first outfit around the textured Stone Bomber Jacket, worn with a heavyweight jumper, slim khaki chinos and simple charcoal sneakers.

For the second outfit we took it to one of Blackpool's oldest and most famous landmarks, the North Pier. Many of concert, wrestling match and knobbly-knees competition has taken place on this pier, which dates back to 1863. Bringing things a little up to date for '15, we carried the khaki chinos over, and kept the rest quite tonal, with this Navy Military-inspired Jacket, classic ringer tee, charcoal Derby shoes + contrasting socks.
How do you like the change of scenery for this shoot? It's a spot to wander with the camera, especially if you have some free time. New Look Men's collection is available online + in stores now.
