For the past few weeks I've been testing out the Panasonic Lumix GX7 dslr. I've only got it on loan for a short time so I've been taking full advantage of its capabilities. It's not often you get a chance to test-drive a swanky camera like this so I decided to take it to London with us last week. Hollie used it for the Murdock + Hackett Shaving Review, so you can get a proper feel for how it copes with movement.
Some of you may have already seen the shot I took of Hollie above, but I've included it again as it's my favourite image out of the lot. I thought it was worth noting that none of the images have been edited in any way, they're straight from the camera. It's a blogger's dream!
The main reason why I've got the camera on loan is because I'm taking part in a competition with We Are Social, with the chance of actually winning the Lumix GX7! I'll be entering one of the images from above into the competition so wish me luck!
I'd be interested to hear about what cameras you shoot with, slr, dslr, compact?
That's a beautiful camera, lucky! Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteI actually shoot with the lumix G3. I love micro 4/3 cameras cause they are so tiny. Fun fact one the reasons panasonic bought out the Gx7 was because they wanted a camera that looked slightly vintage like olympus M4/3 cameras. Its nice though hey?
ReplyDeletethese are great shots! well done, you've got a great eye

I never knew Panasonic dabbled in dslr. It seems like the market is dominated by Canon and Nikon. I looked it up, and it's a cute little thing!! I use a Nikon, and I love it, but I'd probably buy the Panasonic based on looks alone. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love that picture of Hollie. Can't believe there's no editing!
(if this appears 3 times I'm super sorry, I keep trying to comment and it's refreshing and being weird!)
ReplyDeleteIn short: love the big pink hello; I shoot with WAY too many cameras but my favourites are my 35mm SLRs (I have a Canon EOS30 and a dreamy Minolta X300)
nice pics
ReplyDeletehello on celling great

The shot of Holly is my favourite, looks like great results with that camera. I use an Olympus EPL-1 with a manual Canon FD 50mm 1.8 lens, which can be tricky to use to get focus but a good shot can look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteReally nice! Love the way the photos are so sharp and clear. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteReally fantastic pics!
ReplyDeleteNice camera!thank you for the review.
Have a lovely sunday!!
Nice shots, good luck with the competition! I use a Nikon D40 DSLR, but for the past year I've been thinking about getting one of those compact DSLRs for the convenience (and to save my back). My DSLR is still going so strong though, I can't justify it yet.
ReplyDeleteVer impressive! Clear & good quality, just what you want. Holly looking especially beautiful. (And you too of course!!)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! Best of luck with the competition. I'm sure that you'll do great! Love the third picture with that little moon above. I personally shoot with a dinosaur of a Canon Rebel, haha. I'm pretty set on upgrading the lens, but I'll probably be using a third party for that. If I had it my way, I'd upgrade the body to the Canon EOS 7D though.
ReplyDeleteAs for your comment on my last post, my friend uses a Canon Rebel (not sure which one), and his lens was the Canon 16-35/2.8 L II. It's like $1700 though, so that's never going to happen for me, hahaha.
Oh wow these are amazing, especially unedited! I'm thinking of replacing my bridge this year but don't want anything too bulky... Will have to look this up! <3 Claire @ Jazzpad
ReplyDeleteahh fingers crossed for the competition! It sounds (and looks) like it's a great camera!

I really love the one of Hollie as well. Good luck on the competition! I mostly shoot with my canon 7d and iphone 5!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, loving Hollie one too. I hope you win!
