Now this is something I can get on board with. I know this won't be relevant to most of you guys but for my local readers I just wanted to share with you the annual Carnival Ball, at the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Each year the ball takes on a different theme, and this year it's 1950's Rock 'n' Roll!
The Carnival Ball is part of Showzam - Blackpool's entertainment festival celebrating of all things variety, circus and magic. The events are really engaging and a lot of it happens around the town's street. Showzam has grown into a massive attraction for our town and has been a great crowd puller for some years now. We haven't been to the ball for a couple of years, the last one we attended was 1920's themed and was a total riot. I did found these photos from 2010, of the Heat the Streets event. At the ball they'll be bands, performers and loads more crazy cats, including a DJ set from Broken Hearts, taking us into to the small hours.
The Carnival Ball is on 15th Feb - General tickets are £25, and go up to £150 for front row table with waitress service. The Showzam festival is on 14th-23rd Feb across Blackpool.
