To coincide with the re-launch of the iconic trainer, adidas have created this Limited Edition Stan Smith Watch, in celebration of the American tennis legend. The watch is limited to 500 pieces, each being individually numbered and packaged in an impressive presentation case. The pack features three interchangeable watch straps and a specialty designs tool for adjusting.
The pack includes three straps in total, stainless steel, a white leather strap (constructed in the same material as the shoe) and as pictured here, a white + green perforated silicon strap. The white + green colourway pays homage to the heritage of game and the numbers 15, 30 and 40 on the face are highlighted in green, along with the word "Love" to mark 0. I flipped the green strap around the opposite way, which picks up the details of the original adidas trefoil logo. I'll definitely be looking at getting a pair of the re-issue Stan Smith's, when they're released in early 2014.
The adidas Stan Smith watch is available in selected retailers across the UK and online - size? in Leeds, Plymouth, Glasgow, Hull and online, Watch Shop online, H. Samuels in Liverpool, London, and Manchester, Watch Station International in Leeds and London, End Clothing in Newcastle, Crooked Tongues online and No.6 in London.
The watch featured in this editorial post is a press sample.

Very cool watch. I love the contrasting green and white colors on the strap. Totally agree with Katrina that the hefty price tag is a bit unbelievable for a budget brand like Adidas. Clearly not the sort of piece they'd expect most of their customers to purchase. But maybe if you'd a die hard Adidas fan it's something you'd invest in. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool watch!, one of the nicest I've seen actually. Cool idea of switching the strap to compliment the green to compliment the logo. I think you'll definitely have to be a serious watch person to fork out or it though. Hows things? I've not been able to keep up with your posts, you're on fire! I've been in work quite a lot - joys of retail ay!
ReplyDeleteCool watch, if not a little pricey. Glad to hear Stan Smiths are making a return, I used to proper love mine, I really did wear them to death, even after the tongue broke off I still wore them!
