I've been searching for the perfect white t-shirt for quite a bit now, I'm fed up with inconsistent sizing, dodgy wide necks and shrinking seams. My quest has taken a pit stop at Albam's Seamless T-Shirt in their Authentic fit. Albam's plain tees are 2 for £50 which is not cheap but you can feel the quality instantly. This is by far the softest t-shirt I've laid my hands on, I've never been more excited to wear something so simple.
Over the next few months I'm planning on trying out a various brands to see if I can find the perfect one for me. I'll let you know how I get on. Do you have any recommendations?
Orcival long sleeve tee's seem real nice! Not tried them yet but ill be buying the grey one soon. http://www.present-london.com/orcival/
ReplyDeleteyou know, I'm finding that (as I get older) I prefer quality over quantity. I would rather pay a little more for something that I love instead of a little bit for something that bothers me.
ReplyDeleteAlbom is the store you featured awhile back yeah?
I don't have any recommendations, but I'll be interested to see how your quest goes!
ReplyDeleteIt is something that has always frustrated me, an item which is an essential to everybody's wardrobe is so difficult to get right, i guess it's probably because it needs to be personal to everyone-what might be considered as wide neck to one person could be perfect to another. I have always struggled with white tees, I quite like the ones at whistles and all saints.
ReplyDeleteI find, that if it is possible to obtain them, that Jcrew have the best T-shirts I own two of their white ones. Fit I find is impeccable not to slim and not too baggy. Quality is also good comes in a broken in feel.
ReplyDeleteSunspel have a pretty good line in white ts, I have found them better in the past than the Albam ones which were a little on the transparent side but maybe these new ones are a little more considerate on the nipples.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the very simple packaging. Biggest question I have is the shirt see through at all? Even the slightest? It irks me when white tops have the slightest look of see through. I'm sure you reckon as I've mentioned about white button up shirts. (which I still haven't got a new one yet)
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about seamless shirts yesterday. I don't understand how they do it. Personally seams don't tend to bother me. Only when they und up getting twisted.
What are the washing instructions on this? Actually. Do you wash a lot of your clothes by hand?
@Oil - thanks mate, hadn't thought of J-Crew myself
ReplyDeleteOuch the price tag! But Im sure its worth it and that it last long
ReplyDeleteA bit late but have you tried Everlane tees? Their men's crew is only $15 but they don't deliver to the UK so maybe you can find a shipping service. Sorry for the not-so-helpful help haha.
