One of my longtime favourite home + lifestyle stores slowdownjoe has recently taken delivery from Japanese brand The Superior Labor. The store has been carrying SL for a couple of seasons now and the more new releases I see the more I want in. You can see by the images that the brand uses the finest materials and a high level of craftsmanship to construct their products, with things like this though they tend to look even better in person. One of their strap lines is "No Uselessness" which seems to amount the highest in quality products with no unnecessary frills thrown in. This stuff isn't cheap but it's all build to last, well worth a few extra pennies.
slowdownjoe has had a bit of a makeover since I last visited, they've made the store easier to navigate and are adding new brands and products on a more regular basis.
Anything taking your fancy?

Yes, all of it actually with a special liking of those striped socks! It all definitely looks like quality products!
ReplyDeleteI like the name, slowdownjoe... has a nice ring to it. £23 for a pair of socks definitely not something most folks can buy everyday, but for presents or as a treat it's not bad when you look at higher end stuff that's perhaps the same sort of quality. Also I doubt I'd be complaining of cold feet in a pair of those!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely get a Japan vibe off these products. The camera strap is really intriguing and looks pretty dang durable.
ReplyDeleteJust checked out slowdownjoe. I really like their main page. So clean and easy to navigate. They have some pretty neat products too. I really liked the printed bandanas and especially the John Green Embrace Table. I'd love to have it to place our shoes on when we go to shoot out lookbook.
You always post some pretty great shops there!
