YMC A/W 12

I'm pretty sure that we're all starting to think about pulling the jumpers out, it's getting much nippier here and the rain is coming think and fast. September is usually a pretty decent weather month but no way, not this time. YMC's A/W 12 collection is a bit of a ripper, their lookbook as been doing the rounds for a bit but the products have just dropped in stores so I thought it was a good time to post about it.

The collection takes inspiration from the beatnik movement of the 50s and mixes it with their signature boxy fits, collegiate colours and mad patterns. They're basically producing clothes that I want to wear, with all this cooler weather setting in this is the kind of reliable garb I want to be reaching for. Do I spy something to spend my Oi Polloi gift voucher on? The piece that stands out for me is the navajo grey jumper, which is featured above. I wouldn't wear it over my shoulders a la Carlton Banks but you get the idea that it's going to look pre-tay pre-tay cool on.

The collection is now available at YMC and other good menswear stores.

Ahh nice denim shirt - quite unusual to see one with a lovely colourful stitch! Pretty funkayyy! If I was a bloke I'd wear all this stuff!

I also especially like the big sheet of blue paper taped to the wall of these shots!

Hope you're feeling a tad more chirpier too Mat!

Joking aside, I can't wait till the weather turns colder and I can dig out the layers!

  7. Really digging the ads. Perfect choice of the blue paper backgrounds for this seasons fall color pallette. Personally I'm really digging the 2 pictures before the last one. Just a good classic style. I've already pulled out my jumpers over here. This year will be the first actual winter I'm about to experience. In all honesty. Not looking forward to it to much.

  8. Totally couldn't decide what socks to wear with my Weejuns but the burgundy on ox blood works well here so think I'll be giving that a try. Nice looks for autumn, always reliable pieces from YMC.

  11. Great knits. The color combinations are very subtle yet still eye-catching and everything looks so darn comfy.

Just stumbled across your blog; love your taste, man :)

  12. Totally ignored the clothes I was too distracted by how amazingly well that 'scrap' of blue paper masking taped to the wall frames every outfit perfectly. M xo
