Smurf's Up

Sporty Smurfs at Present

The weekend has arrived once again and I'm looking for things to do. I've been waiting for a sunny Saturday so I can get out in the front garden and start striping the wall in prep for a new lick of paint. But the fun isn't kicking off till this evening, I'm going to make a bacon, onion and cream pizza which I found on Smitten Kitchen. Last time I tried making pizza it ended up about 3" too thick.

Plans for the weekend folk? Anyway, Smurf's up dudes. Enjoy.

Thanks for all the Berlin tips up to now, please keep them coming if you have any more.

  1. Oooh are you making the base too? Jamie Oliver's (while he is a bit of a wally) pizza book is brill. I always make my own pizzas as I'm allergic to tomatoes, so have to add white lasagne sauce instead of tomato puree. Much cheaper (and healthier, in a way) to make your own. Enjoy! x

  2. you know, it hasn't rained here since May, and I had a piece of furniture that I inherited that I was going to sand & re-stain, and wouldn't you know, rain in the forecast for a straight week. so now I have no plans - which I'm ok with because I start school again in 11 days.

Oh I used to watch these chaps (and gal) as a kid! Happy days indeed

The last time I tried making pizza it just didn't rise at all, we ended up with a take-away in the end. I'm a pretty hopeless cook I must say!

I went to Berlin last year, it was with the uni so we were constantly in galleries which wasn't my favourite way to explore. If you're interested in The Holocaust you need to pay a visit to the Jewish Memorial/Museum. Me and a group of people also took a trip to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, I believe it was around 30-40 minutes from Berlin - worth it though! I remember as we were getting close to the camp I felt so uneasy, the surroundings were so quiet!
