I keep seeing Einstok's Icelandic beer around lately and it's really starting to grab my attention. I've seen it on sale at a few different places but most recently I saw it in Hollie's fridge. Their branding is simplistic and bold with no added fluff, which feels like a nod to a more traditional way of living. The clear design helps it stand out on the shelves against all the busier bottles out there which usually feature goblins, witches, wizards and other daft fictional scenes.
I've not tried any of their beers yet but Hollie has highly praised them, she knows good beer. With flavours of toffee and dark chocolate, orange peel and coriander or the more traditional pale ale and festive themed Doppeldock, they're sure to make a nice change from a 4% "neckers".
Has anyone tried Einstok, thoughts? Would the design temp you to part with you money?
Available at Harvey Nics and good supermarkets
I've never tried Einstok, nor seen them (shows who does not do the shopping in our household), but totally agree - the design is great. I think I would want to try anything wrapped up like this.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that is says doppelbock would tempt me to part with my money. :) - Strong, dark, imported beer ...Yummm!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this before, but now I'm going to look for it. I'm a sucker for packaging. I just bought an overpriced shampoo/conditioner because it looked nice.

yah so a beer sounds really good right about now. pretty labeling would just be a bonus!
ReplyDeleteNo, the packaging has sucked me right in though and I will now be keeping an eye out for it!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging design is really nice and it draws me in as well. I'm usually like that especially when it comes to wine shopping where I tend to buy wines based on their packaging.
ReplyDeleteI see these in my local offy must get around to trying it! I like the London Field's Brewery labels too!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of beer but those are pretty good package designs. Really digging the altered christmas themed one. pretty clever, I've always liked it when brands would do stuff like that.
