It's jam packed, you can't move for patterned shirts these days. I'm not complaining, since my days back at college there hasn't been many years gone by without a patterned shirt being somewhere in my wardrobe. The oldest one I remember (which I still have somewhere) was actually a turquoise patterned polo shirt. It was nicknamed the "roller coaster" top as it had a unusual zipped pocket placement, therefore your loose change would be ok if you went on a ride with a loop the loop.
For me this printed chambray printed shirt from Folk is one of the best out there. The block print shirt seems a bit garish at first but I think it has the potential to be quite wearable. The pattern is created by overlaying various shades of chambray cotton and also features a pebble shaped top pocket and extended back hem.
Each shirt is uniquely printed and patterns vary quire significantly, see the difference in these here and here compared to the one above. It's divide option though, at least three people I know have said they'd give it a wide birth, I am definitely in the yes camp. So is it a yes or no?
Folk block print shirt available at Oi Polloi
dig it man. crazy, but cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this shirt, I want one.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, I want it for me!
ReplyDeleteI say a big yes and I'm tempted to buy one too! I sometimes shop in mens sections as I like the oversized look and plus, mens clothes is a lot cheaper or at least I find. I mean sometimes I go into Topman and notice a massive difference in price to womens so end up buying sweatshirts from topman and even shirts
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I like it, I like it. Definitely a statement shirt. I can see it working well with burgundy jeans/chinos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shirt! My favorite color is blue)

I would be my favorite shirt if it fits me perfectly, I mean all the colors are my favorites: grey blue navy.
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes. Funky and original!
ReplyDeleteLove the top! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a yes.
ReplyDeleteFolk's a funny brand - I find often it swings too far into hipster territory for me and I just can't deal with it, but then every once in a while I'll spot an excellent piece of design that just calls out to me...
Oh wow, I think I just fell in love.
ReplyDeleteYES, the shirt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous design! I don't think it'd be garish at all due to the muted colours, as you say very wearable :)

Hells to the yes. It's like doing tonal dressing in one garment. This means it is wonderful. Although it does conjur double denim images. Perhaps a different colour?
