I wanted to share will you an invitation I designed for my Final Campaign at uni, a few months ago. For the people who haven't been reading the blog for too long my concept was to launch a homeware store aimed at men. This was on behalf of menswear store Oi Polloi. Featured here is the design for the store launch night invite. The idea was to get people hands on with the brand straight away. Inflate the balloon, give it a pop with the pin provided which then reveals further details of the launch night.
Now this wasn't an entirely original idea, I took the concept from the uber talented crafts extraordinaire Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Days. Anyone that's into crafts, diys, simple presentation or clever design ideas then this is the site for you. She also does the most amazing job of reconditioning furniture and other tire looking items. There doesn't seem to be an end the this ladies talents.
I think I made a pretty good job of it anyway, hopefully I can transfer these skills I've learnt into a real job soon. Anyone want me?
hey, that's pretty creative. I like it.
ReplyDeletethis is so good, very creative. i hope you get snapped up very soon.
ReplyDelete(answer to your question: i think diamond is 60, you deserve diamonds if you get to that point in my opinion)

ReplyDeletewell i think everything is inspired by something. and i think you done an amazing job, i love the whole interaction with the invite instead of having just a flimsy bit of paper. so great!

that is awesome!! good job :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Everyone would want to come to your party/opening full of popped balloons! The first shot is pure design eye candy. Lovely. Go you!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I bet it really blew everyone away. No pun intended ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fantastic idea! It's fun and that's what draws you in! And even if it wasn't a completely original idea you've taken an aspect of it and turned it into your own - it's what many of us tend to do as arguably everything has been done these days. I have this conversation with my lecturer, I'll think of a concept and type it in google and voila! an artist has been doing for 20 years haha! Really nice work though, are you thinking of going freelance then?
ReplyDeleteSorry I've missed out on a few of your posts, thank you for your comment too! I always enjoy your your posts, they're always exciting due to the broad sort of style you have - it could be fashion related one day and then obect or art related the next! Keeping people on their toes!
I've had my head stuck in books drafting up my dissertation proposal so I feel at a loss with the blog at the moment. I'm terrified of emerging myself into the real world though, I feel like I have so much ambition but lack confidence to be able to show it - it's all about networking and social events. Switching nerves off would be a dream come true I think!
Thanks for the follow! And yes Berlin was amazing, so very independent from the rest of Germany, like a country in itself. I love the culture and the night life, hope to go back very very soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you make it over there sometime soon :)
genius
ReplyDeleteLove the invitation <3, very unique :).

Great job here. Though it may have been inspired by another creative, your execution is impeccable.

I did this card for my grandson's 5th Birthday him and his brother had so much fun blowing up the balloon real big and chasing each other. Now the problem is the older brother his birthday is coming up and I have to figure out something as good as the balloon one.
