Well this is a first, the lovely Katie from TattyBoots recently did a post on some illustrations she did of bloggers with "Jazzy Feet" and I was included. The image she chose to do was this one. I'm really chuffed that someone has taken the time out to do something which is linked to me so thanks Katie. Please do check out her blog, it's really interesting and creative, about how her style evolves and more snazzy illustrations like this.
In other news I'm off to Orlando in two weeks time, has anyone got any unusual recommendations of things to do/places to visit? Also if anyone has been to any vintage clothing/home stores please let me know.
Oh, very jealous of impending Orlando adventures!
ReplyDeleteSo cool that she illustrated that of you!
ReplyDeleteTotally have no original ideas for Orlando... whenever I've been I've just gone to the touristy spots! Oops. Can't wait to see photos from your trip. xx
Awh cheers, thank you! Glad you liked it, was really a pleasure to draw! yeah I've noticed my drawing taking a turn lately, I've discovered a lot of artists that have a more hand drawn quality to their illustrations which I find really charming. I used to draw a lot of portraits (which I still love to do) but they can be so time consuming and causes me a lot of frustration.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yourself in Orlando too, unfortunately I've not got a clue on what events are taking place there but I'm sure you'll find some cool things. Remember take plenty of pictures to us to see!
nice!! you do have great footwear choices. it was just fitting that she included you in her list.

You sure do have Jazzy feet indeed. I am not surprised she chose you. I dont know Orlando. Spent a lot of time in Miami, they used to have a lot of great second hand stuff but the last time I was there it is so trendy now that vintage is expensive like here. The best place I have found for vintage in the US is Denver.
ReplyDeleteThank You for your lovely comments I really appreciate them. Xxxx
That's awesome! It must be so flattering- you're such a celebrity, ha!
ReplyDeleteorlando!! very cool!! def time to relax, haha :)
ReplyDeleteoh jesus, i'm awful at replying to comments, i'm not even going to check how long ago it was, but you asked if i knew any good interior design blogs.some of these are a bit "lifestyle" rather than just interiors, but here you go:

I'm kind of obsessed with your socks + shoes too.
ReplyDeleteI used to draw pictures of my shoe collection back when I was 18. It's been awhile, though, but shoes are kinda fun to draw ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Orlando as an adult, so I'm sorry I can't help out!
Mat, you are now living the dream. Surely it is the secret ultimate goal of all bloggers to be immortalised in a work of art :)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, holiday time for you. Jealous.
The illustration is amazing, so detailed :)

This is so nice of her to include you! Though to be fair I have seen lots of photos of your tremendous footwear collection (and socks, as I recall) so I'm not surprised you were included! ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

ReplyDeleteYou totally have Jazzy Feet, Mat. Lovely picture! Sadly I have no experience of Orlando whatsoever... So I'm all the more excited to hear about your experiences.
