Trekking Part 2

Topman "Matias" Hiking Boots

I know, it's totally the wrong weather for boots like this but I couldn't miss the opportunity to get them. I've been after a pair of hiking boots (I got this pair a couple of months back) for quite a while but all the ones I liked were clearly way over my budget. I've had my eye on these Topman hiking boots for a few months but didn't really want to take the plunge at full price but when they dropped to £15 in the sale it would have been rude not to buy them. They aren't as well made at the Fracap's or as high quality of material but I can sacrifice that for the budget I'm currently on.

I know, they're a proper marmite item, you love them or hate them. I'm going for the first, they're going to be great for protecting me against the British elements once it's cooled down a bit.

This is how happy they make me -

So come on, be honest. What do you think?

If anyone fancies a pair they still have plenty of stock in this colour and a dark green at Topman

  2. its ok dude, sorry for jumping down your throat with explanation, i just think its a bit unfair to post a blog attacking a person and not listening to me or trying to figure it out without other people intervening which is making the situation worse. I know there sticking up for her but its such a petty thing to me but if she was so upset she could of just ignored me or confronted me to ask why i was copying instead of just creating this hatred poster towards me. Its like i said 1 BAD WORD so now that means im automatically hated by her 600 followers and fans. its not right because i am not evil and we can all say horrible things when were upset and angry and i said those things because she wasnt blooddy listening to me!! anyyway yeah dont get into this girly internet rubbish its pants! x

  3. I like them, they don't look like Topman at all (those aren't necessarily connected). Will be interesting to see how they wear in.

  4. I have very similar boots to yours and I love them! Maybe they're not very feminine or glamorous, but very comfortable. If you can match them with good trousers, shirt etc they'll looks awsome (maybe much more awsome than oxfords;).
And I can jump like you when I'm buying something great ;D

  9. I've wanted the brown w/red laces Fracaps for ages, but I doubt I would actually get much wear out of them in practice. Those Topman ones look pretty cool! Haha and the most amazing photo I have seen in ages ;)

  10. My sister bought hiking boots when she was climbing a mountain and they were kinda ugly looking ahaha, but for some reason these look pretty cool. maybe because of the sole and laces??? but yes! nice choice!

  11. I really like them, I'm sure you can find some excuses to wear them out! I just bought some boots too (on sale from Free People) and was just thinking I'll be really disappointed if it's impossible to wear them in this heat :[

  18. anonymous, you're a tool.
So what if he takes photos? At last they aren't of an anorexic Abbey Lee wannabe in demin cut-offs with a nose ring and a cigarette like practically every other fashion blog out there!

It's awesome to see a stylish guy to be honest...one doesn't come across a good menswear blog that's real and down to earth like this one!

    ----

Nice booties Mat. They'll definately make you wanna hike around alot!

It speaks volumes that they can't even bring themselves to leave their name.

Clearly they don't stand so firmly behind their point of view as they make out, otherwise why be anonymous?

Who asked them anyway and why are they wasting their time reading these "blogs" when they dislike them so very much?

  24. your jumpy photo is awseome! Do you think these topman boots would be hiking style...or actually practical for some mild hiking (More like strolling with a slightly steeper gradient!) My boyfriend could do with a pair and these look nicer than the average..as does the price! xox

  25. LOVE THEM! Everyone needs a proper pair of hiking boots and if they make jump like this they must have been a good buy!

  26. Happy shot. Yes they will come in useful when the weather changes again later this week!!!!! Great bargain too. It would have been rude not to buy them. Xxxx

  27. haha love the action shot!

  28. The action shot is really funny - and the boots look lovely! Ignore the anonymous - the beauty of the internet is that there's almost limitless space for anyone to post what they want. If their comment is that your blog is irrelevant or not worthy of attention, they are not spending their bandwidth properly commenting on it.

  29. That is quite the jump! I like the boots, plus they're called Matias, which must be a sign, surely.

  31. Wow I love bargains like these, amazing find. I personally love the action shot, I must try one someday. I find it silly when people leave negative comments, what's the point? Don't read things such as fashion blogs if you dislike and dissect every photograph they take, read a book or something.

  32. dongeal material? do you mean like donegal tweed? that's definitley woven in Donegal yep :) lots of nice crafty things from that county! xox

  34. hahahahaha that last photo is amazing! Those boots are something special, I have a male friend who will be ridiculously jealous when I show him. Hope things are well, sorry i've been a blog stranger, i've got a new job keeping me busy and have hardly been able to get online! Going to apply myself better from now on...

  35. King of jumps! Amazing, boots are good too

    ReplyDelete
  36. If they make you that happy, everyone should have a pair!

  37. Those are cool, the comparison to Fracap is apt since I know a guy who wears the green version and initially thought it belonged to that brand. Pretty good substitute!
