It was only about 2 or 3 weeks ago when the country was brought to a standstill, and it was quite annoying how we can't cope. Looking back on it I think we probably got let of lightly as it was no where near as bad as some parts further north.
Christmas time was really hectic but I did manage to have a couple of days out, even if it was for a coffee and the village next to our town. We even helped dig out a car that was stuck in the snow, community spirit! These pictures are from one of our little trips, the things that people will do for coffee eh. I really like the about shot of Hollie, she looks so happy even though it's around minus 10 out there.
Glad it's over now, back to normality.
the snow covered houses are so dreamy. :D
ReplyDeletelovely photos, like a Christmas card. Snow makes everything look so pretty, just a shame the country has to grind to a halt!
ReplyDeleteCommunity spirit comment made ma laugh! :P It is a tad ridiculous how over here noone really knows how to cope with a bit of snow, I went to eastern Europe for Christmas and few days into my trip it snowed really heavily, and I was like 'what?no closed shops?' and then I remembered what's the norm :P haha!
ReplyDeleteyou guys are too cute. We had the best snow day here last week. It was snowing heavily all day, then it got warm and melted away before morning, so no icy roads.
ReplyDeletesnow is pretty to look at, but so incredibly annoying. but i too would brave the treacherous conditions if it meant that there was a coffee at the end of it!

Digging out the car... That's serious snow. Love Hollie's cold-can't-do-me-in spirit!
ReplyDeleteCan't help but feel a bit jealous looking at all this snow! Hollie looks adorable. ;)

Not only did we go for coffee, we bought coffee so that once we got home we could have more coffee!
ReplyDeleteI actually miss the snow though.

It is bizarre our country finds it so difficult, when places like Scandinavia just put up with it all year around. Glad to hear you managed a bit of a rest despite a big workload anyway jazzy ♥
ReplyDeleteI really loved the snow; I missed it a tad in fact.
ReplyDeleteOn Christmas Eve, six of our neighbours, my father and I did all the snow shovelling around the house as it was piling up so high that none of us could open the garages anymore!
LOVE that light!
