Let's Get It All Packed Away
So today was the big portfolio hand in, I'm sure you have had it up to here ----> if you are following me on Twitter. My life has been one big mess in terms on organisation and order for the past month so tomorrow I will embark on a mass tidy(bedroom/computer being the main offenders). And I'll tell you what, I'm looking forward to it.
Reckon I need to take a leaf out of Micheal Johansson's extremely tidy book. Johnansson is an artist from Sweden who will compress and organise anything he can get his hands on. His work will be my inspiration for tomorrow, though my technique will be to ran any many things into one drawer as humanly possible.
Is anyone else having a post-Christmas clear out?

I did this yesterday! I got rid of three boxes of things.. and I don't even know where the stuff comes from anymore, because I declutter once a month. Amongst other things, I somehow I seemed to have missed the 20 shot glasses in my cupboard. Who needs 20 shot glasses?!
ReplyDeleteI did a mass clearout at the weekend, and somehow I still have far too much stuff I really do.not.need.
ReplyDeleteMat you always find the most amazing people, I love this ! I really wish I could do that with everything, I'm forever tripping on clothing, shoes, bags and Corben's toys. I think that if I don't get mega OCD soon I will end up buried under it all. I love to tidy like from top to bottom but storage is letting me down at the moment, I am saving for a new wardrobe :) so it won't look this tidy but this has inspired me that it can and should be done. It must be tough if you want to go to work I your car ...haha I bet you would save on parking.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWell done! Enjoy your tidying, it's so satisfying. Oh, and great selection of photos as always
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI am in dire need of a good clearout too. My normal tactic of tidying up is the shoving everything in a random drawer or cupboard too, but it is starting to backfire as I've filled every conceivable space with my crap!
Congrats on handing in your portfolio!
ReplyDeleteI was at the Museum of Everything yesterday with Wolfwhistle and Girlalamode where nothing is compact. It is the polar opposite of these pictures. I like them both a lot, but I definitely veer more towards the chaos side.

ps more giveaways for you to win :D http://www.sos-saveourshoes.com/
pps did the stuff get to you ok?? was it ok?! hope you enjoyed christmas!
Stunning. The suitcases are simply amazing! x
ReplyDeleteThese are great & really appeal to my obsessive compulsive tidy side (which I manage to mostly ignore, haha!); the suitcases in particular are fab!
ReplyDeleteYou must be SO relieved to have your work done & dusted, hope you can have the opportunity to relax a little now, after your clear out of course!
ps. My Smiths t-shirt was from bluecatstore.com. apparently they aren't the most reliable, delivery wise, so be careful if you do buy anything, G said it took over a month to arrive! The book was also from G, he heard Alexa Chung recommended it on Gonzo although I'd also been eyeing it on Amazon without his knowledge! I haven't started it yet but looks good; Amazon has a few reviews I think, if you're interested :)
whoah! the one with the cars. haha!! his work is so cool.
ReplyDeletei already did my post-christmas clean up right after christmas. it's actually nice to see the floor again. haha!!

Well I was thinking on baking some of that gingerbread but in muffin form actually!
ReplyDeleteI like that feeling you get when you hand in a big fat project after working really hard on it and you did work hard!
