I took this photo last week while I took 5 minutes from my ever-increasing uni work, it's all kicking off next week, presentations, essays, project hand ins, portfolio workshops. I've had enough! Anyways, when I saw this I knew I had to grab for my camera. Hollie's bedroom is impeccable, she has mirrored wardrobes and whilst I was messing around swinging the doors about I noticed the mirrored image(reminds me of when you see the never ending TV screen, you know?).
I just thought it was really interesting that not all is what it seems, even in the most regular places. As Paul Smith said, "You can find inspiration in everything, and if you can't, look again".
Thanks for sticking with my blog even though posting has become more sporadic over the last few months, I am still here and I do still visit all your blogs, even if I may not leave a comment.
that is a fantastic photo!

Bless your heart Mr Buckets.
ReplyDeleteI am weird with mirrors, I only want them when I need them. A friend of mine has mirrored furniture and I hate it because I check my reflection all the time ...it makes me feel insecure. I think they are cool, but I know they are not good for me to be around :) lame but true.
ReplyDeletewow!! very impressive! love the quote by paul smith too, i couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteI would not have known what that photo was until you explained! I love distorted photography like this, and don't worry about the sporadic posting. Life gets in the way constantly and we're all in the same boat :) jazzy ♥
ReplyDelete+1 on the Paul Smith quote. You've got a great eye for composition too. It's a great pic.
ReplyDeleteit took me a while to work the photo out but now i see!
ReplyDeleteyou sound snowed under (haha, forgive the weather pun) with work at the moment, but don't worry about the sporadic posts/commenting I'll still continue to pop on over even if you don't leave me a comment! :)

Wow, how lovely and geometric. It reminds me somewhat of the guy who took that photo of the red ceiling with a white wire...I can't remember his name.
ReplyDeleteMinus the colour but definite eye for intrigue in the normal.
Oh, that's a pretty cool/intriguing photo. When I first saw it, I had no idea what it was! Neat!
ReplyDeleteAnd in reply to your comment, I really wasn't getting anything out of the domain. I just wanted to simplify, you know? I had a Mononoke fansite (omg, so dorky) but I never kept it up very well and lost interest, so I didn't see a real need for the domain any longer :/
Chin up matey. I know exactly how you feel with the work, but we WILL still be here, following along!
ReplyDeleteI do love this monsieur buckets, and i cannot work it out...and that makes me love it even more ;)
ReplyDeleteooh, great picture :)!
ReplyDeletelove this! i would never have guessed it was someone's wardrobe...
ReplyDeleteps, i'm having a christmas jumper giveaway (:
