Now, there's a few various reasons why I love Dr Martens, one being their historical roots in workwear and non-mainstream music scene, second being that they are amazing in the winter, being waterproof and as comfy as wrapping your feet up in a duvet. But the other thing I love it the 1461 3-eyelet version.
I have both boots and shoe variations but I always turn back to my 1461's because they suits me so much more and, well, they're not as obvious and damn cool too. For Dr Martens S/S 11 collection they have thrust the 1461 into the limelight by giving it a fresh new palette, finishes and patterns.
So seeing that I haven't been out of my Docs since it started snowing, which is a repeat of last winter I think it is highly likely I will be buying some new ones from this collection.
A shot from last summer. 1461 Dr Martens worn with yellow Uniqlo socks and DIY painted chinos.

ReplyDeleteI VOW TO OWN ALL OF THESE MAGICAL SPECIMENS!!!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteThey really are beyond great <3.
ReplyDeleteI'm not mad about the loafers, but I do love the combo of pastels and a good working-type, shit-kicking boot (have to pardon my french).
ReplyDeleteAll the shoes look cute in the pics.

Pink ones from firs pic are my fav!
ReplyDeleteThey're like converses, there are variations to the classic, but ultimately, they are, well, classics! Don't have myself a pair (they make me look like I've got clown feet) but perhaps the shorter ones might do me more favours. Those green ones are lovely! And the reds... aaaah decisions jazzy ♥
ReplyDeletewooo, dr martens. i got some black high ones for christmas. admittedly, i feel a bit stupid wearing them; that should wear off though. i havnt yet decided whether im regret not asking for low ones; they seem easier to style/wear...
ReplyDeleteI used to love wearing my black 8 holes to school when I was 15, I thought I wa so cool haha. There are some lovely floral ones in the new range that I like but not sure how often I would wear them. A new Dr Martens store just opened in Cardiff which is nice because there might be a bit more choice in colours x
ReplyDeletelove the womens ones in the first picture! great choice of material
