If you follow this blog you may remember me saying a couple of months back that I had drastically changed my spending habits, buy less crap and more things that I know I will still like a few seasons down the line. It's really worked and now my wardrobe is so much more manageable, everything seems to go with everything, which has cut down the stresses on those early mornings. So here's a few things I picked up other the past month or so.
Oh and this is my first pair of Camper shoes and I can safely say they're the comfiest shoes I've ever worn.
Sadly I couldn't make it down to London Fashion Week this season so I have been glued to the live stream, Twitter and everyone's blog updates.
Very nice selection. All classics. Wish I could be as disciplined as you! Love the Campers in particular.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you at the next LFW? I've (almost, sort of) figured out how it all works now so am hoping for more shows and stuff. Street style was a weird one too, everyone was way too glam for my usual tastes, but I found some gems!
Love every single piece, Mat. Think we have v. similar styles!
ReplyDeleteNew blog layout looks amazing.

ha ha, patience! I posted some yesterday and have got about another 100 to go!
ReplyDeleteAhh we'll be living it up down in London next season though Mat, don't you worry!
ReplyDeleteI like everything against your blue wall!
Hollie
lipstick and balloons
More guys should dress like you.
ReplyDeleteVelour pocket shirt is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteAnd i have done that this year too, removed most of my warbdrobe and buying things that go with each. it takes less time in the mornings too and im happier with my outfits yay!
I recently made the same decision and it is definitely working for me! Now my problem is that I left more than half of my clothes in Spain and sometimes is like I need more options to look at! Hehe I really love your new shoes! xxx
ReplyDeleteohh, you and hollie are moving down to london? well i'll be seeing you both soon, then!
ReplyDeletegreat purchases, i especially love the parka and the pocket shirt. lots of outfits posts over the next few weeks, please! xx
That velour jumper is amazing! May have to get the boy to take a look at those :) x
ReplyDeleteYay for stripes! I love the blue parka, I'm going through a mini love affair with parkas at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a cheap-ass, I never spend money. Which explains my serious lack of clothes at the moment... :-/
Yours seems like a better approach.

i think this shift in buying behavior is accompanied by a person's maturity. the more mature you are, the more you think of long term benefits. i love the knit sweater. great buys, mat.

fantastic buys; love it all!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to achieve that for years, it still hasn't happened! Well done you! Gutted you didn't make it down to LFW though, would have been lovely to see you - maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky that you understand your style to the point where you buy what you like and then the rest follows. My wardrobe is such a mishmash of everything!
ReplyDeleteI am going to bear your spending mantra in mind for future trips, seems to work!
