DIY Painter's Trousers

Wearing -Charity shop button-down shirt, H&M diy painter's chinos, Shoo blue suede desert boots, Fossil leather tote bag from Equip.

After yesterday's post on my little diy I decided to wear them that day. First off, please ignore my daft face, it was really sunny! I thought was, best to keep it simple. So it's exacully what I did, only went for a cheeky trip to the shops but this is what I wore them with. I'm pretty chuffed with the result, I like the fact that the H&M chinos are pretty loose fitting. It's pretty known that Izzy from The Dandy Project is the king of the diy, so I'm dedicating me efforts to him!

As well as Equip being so nice in letting me run the Ray Ban's competition(still time to enter!) they also sent me a gift for myself, the tan leather Fossil tote bag. Very kind of them, I have to say. I'm always on the hunt for new staples for my wardrobe, this is the newest edition. It has an array of pockets and compartment, which is what I need and not too clumpy looking.

  9. cool look. I live in the states, actually mid-west. And usually we are the last to do much of anything when it comes to style. I suppose global blogging helps, but still, doubt I see a guy with his chinos rolled up anytime soon which is kind of sad.

    Have a good weekend.

  29. Oh so many things . . . where to start? Of course I think the pants are awesome! Any kind of customization that give you power over your own clothes is, and will always be, supported by me. And I especially like this one. My dad used to do the same thing with his jeans when he was young. Quite rebelious of him then, very stylish of you now. Second, the competion's very cool, a pair a raybans always comes in handy. And that bag they gave you is great!

    Third, talking a bit about, well . . . me . . . I finally moved ! http://fashezine.com/ !

And lastly, is that a new painting I see on the bottom of the page? . . . just checking it out now!

p.s. really really happy to be back :)

  34. ahh, thank-you for your comment mat! my cheapness can work for boys shopping too! :) i'm always spotting lovely leather belts, shirts and bow ties for like 50pence! how often do you shop in charity shops? just go for it, who knows what you might find?

  35. just keep on popping back in your locals, get on talking terms with the the shop assistants. in one charity shop the lady always picks things up that she thinks will suit me, in another one the lady throws me in a couple of freebies, and in the other which i always donate too i get discounts. ohh, i wouldn't know what to look out for, mat! i'll probably end up picking stuff you really won't like. i'm honestly quite useless at picking clothes for guys. but if i do, i shall let you know. do you have any car boot sales near you?

p.s. your comment on jill's latest post make me chuckle, hehe :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! And thanks. I wasn't sure I could pull of the pleather, but after I saw it in the store my brain immediately went, "MINEMINEMINE" and I just HAD to buy it, regardless. So I'm glad it turned out well.

The nails are fabulous indeed. I'm very jealous.

Do you do lots of DIY?

  44. I did this to a pair of my Dad's old shorts before, except much too thickly. I laid out in the sun and then it all began to melt and run.
