The Blank Canvas collection is a collaboration between two brands who are all about their heritage, Fred Perry and Liberty's. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard about this collection, I'm sure it's been common knowledge for ages but I only discovered this news last week. The collection features classic Fred Perry garments, re-worked in 2 quintessentially British, Liberty prints.
It seems that I am being drawn more and more to floras over the past few months, maybe it's because I'm getting to an age where I'm now not scared of prints? I visited Liberty's on numerous occasions when I was in London early this year, where I was looking for the perfect flora print material that I could fashion into a pocket square, to sit nicely in my new vintage tweed blazer. However nothing really jumped out at me, so the search goes on.
Which reminds me, the next installment to "Hidden Treasures" will be coming later this week, the item in question is the tweed blazer. I can tell you're all excited right?!
Fred Perry for Liberty's Blank Canvas collection is available from April.

ReplyDeleteI like the last photo of the jacket, probably the most wearable one. It's hard to do florals without looking like a geography teacher from the 70's. Or a geography teacher in his 70's.

The Liberty fabrics are awsesome, I think the hook up with Fred Perry is a great idea. Working at Liberty was by far the best of the retail jobs I've ever worked. Such a great place, wish I could have stayed there forever.
