Work in Progress

Being the youngest in the family has its advantages but this biggest disadvantage is getting lumbered with the smallest room in the house, the dreaded box room. 15 years later, everyone's moved out and me and my mum have been left in a house with lots of empty room, so thats it, I'm finally moving into a nice big room.

I've been decorating on and off for about 3 weeks now, there's a heck of a lot to do as I'm totally gutting the whole room and starting again and being on a student budget this project is going to take some time. But I have to start something. So up to now I've painted a wall of wardrobes, inside and out, skirting boards and big wooden door(with a little help from Hollie), the old purple carpet has been ripped up. The hardest big was actually removing the king size bed, we had to hack it apart with saws and hammers.

I have big plans for the room, I may not be here permanently but it's nice to come back to something nice isn't it. All white with one turquoise wall, wooden floors boards. Thats the first step. I'll keep posting updates so you can see how it's all taking shape.

  1. I wish I was as pro-active about my room at home. It still features the magazine cut-outs I plastered on the wall circa 15 yrs old...

    Not the best look.
