This collection really caught my eye when I was looking through the catwalk shows from Spring collections this week. I love the playfulness of the proportions and shapes of the outerwear and trousers mixed with the variety in shades of greys and blacks. The unexpected use of sandals with socks is not uncommon but for me this really bumps up the all round classiness of a somewhat flawless collection. Nice one.

I was looking at some of the comments about this collection back at TFS and I think we're one of the few that actually likes it. Strange because it's the one time YSL looses it's extreme tailoring. My favorite look in the show was the one on Luke Worral with the scarf ans the leggings, and the sandals.
ReplyDeletestrange that isn't it, i wonder why it have got this reaction? not traditional enough maybe, things can't be the same all the time. we need to move on.
ReplyDeleteI deffinately know what your saying I love this collection and how it was all based off a simple t-shirt
ReplyDeleteI think Stefano Pilati is a genius
I agree...Its time to move on. I hope the 2010's are an even more exciting decade in Fashion. I think the youth is ready for something different...And older people are playing it safe. I'm glad to see the names like YSL are looking at the whole picture, and thinking of the future, and not just playing it safe.
ReplyDeleteI loved this collection.
